The Marlins are still rebuilding and after a dismal 57-105 last place finish in 2019, the Fish can only look up. They have some talent but the core of the talent is still toiling in the organization’s farm system. This is a franchise with its eye on the future. It doesn't appear that the Marlins will do any better this year in a division that is super tough. Heading up the rotation are Sandy Alcantara, Caleb Smith and Pablo Lopez. Alcantara is only 23 years old and has shown his share of promise. He managed to pitch a pair of shutouts and was named to the NL All-Star team in 2019. Brandon Kintzler is listed as the Marlins' closer. Outfielder Brian Anderson is the team's best hitter. He will join Jonathan Villar, Corey Dickerson and Jesus Aguilar and others in a lineup bound to undergo alteration as the season progresses.
