The outlook for Detroit is not good. The players they have are not likely to bring the Tigers much improvement over their dismal 114-loss campaign in 2019. The Tigers can only look for hope in their farm system where they are developing productive young talent. Fans will have to watch the Tigers stumble through another lackluster year and wait as the talent on the farm continues to develop. The aging Miguel Cabrera is not the slugger he once was and third baseman Jeimer Candelario is also on the decline. The Tigers picked up a couple of new faces in C.J. Cron and Jonathan Schoop, but don’t expect them to lead Detroit to a champion shi. The pitching staff will not help much either. Lefty Matthew Boyd leads a staff that includes Daniel Norris and aging Jordan Zimmerman. An inferior bullpen will struggle to keep any late-inning leads the Tigers might have.
